The Legacy – Nxili Pochet
Honoring a traditional purse worn by Xhosa women in the olden days, but bringing it into modern day luxury.
The striking red leather draws the eye, but the elegant design's provenance keeps it there. Silky smooth Italian calfskin leather turns this minimalist purse into a chic accessory. Remove the detachable shoulder strap and turn it into an eye catching clutch.
Handcrafted with passion by expert African artisans in our South-African atelier. Premium calfskin leather is sourced from a small family owned business in Tuscany Italy, a region well known for its exceptional leather quality. Threads and silk lining come from the Como region in Italy, famous for supplying luxury brands with fabrics. Our uniquely created scent is sprayed on as the cherry on top. We craft and source our singular pieces in an ethical, sustainable, and eco-friendly manner.

Every piece that leaves our atelier has been crafted for a singular patron. Deciding how your handcrafted bag should look like is the ultimate exclusive luxury experience. Fashion tells a story, what do you want yours to say?
Traditional luxury brands markup their products 10x the true cost. Because we take pride in being a responsible brand, we refuse to do that. We work directly with local African artisans with years of experience and pay fair wages. By cutting out unnecessary middlemen we can stand shoulder to shoulder with traditional luxury brands at a fraction of the typical price.
